I was driving from Bend to Corvalis when I saw the sun dipping down to create a great sunsent. Then, out of no where came this lake and I had to jump out of the car and frame up this shot quickly before I lost the sun! Note the two small children playing… they weren't with me, but just happened to be in the right spot!

Reservoir Curves

Shot in early spring, the reservoir was still filling up with snow melt. The entire thing fills and (nearly) drains every year.

I rented a Nikon D600 and a Nikkor 24-70 f/2.8G. This was all an experiment to see if I want to "swith sides". I think I'll let this picutre tell you whether I switched or not!

Mockerkin Tarn

Driving through the Lakes District in Cumbria England on the A5086 we spotted this lovely view. The wall appears to be ancient (possibly part of an old Celtic castle) but it was the rolling hills dotted with sheep that I really fell in love with.
